We decided to take a day trip to Orkney but  we picked the day with gale force winds! It was colder than it looks honest!

Colder than it Looks!

One of our first views of Orkney, the colours were impressive.

First Views of Orkney

Orkney has been designated a UNESCO World Heritage site and has an abundance of Neolithic sites.  The first we visted was the standing stones, although the wind meant we found it difficult to stand up!

Just up the road is the Ring of Brodgar made from rocks brought from different areas of Orkeny.
